Trick Or Treat or Penny for the Guy?
Trick or Treat?
So Halloween is here once more. I've never quite understood Halloween, it was never a big deal when I was a child nor even when my eldest daughter M (Big M) was younger. There is no getting away from it now, there seems to have been a big commercial explosion of costumes, candy, decor, themed parties, school disco's and endless trick or treating.

Anxiety and Oliver Stone
Since being diagnosed with bipolar following a breakdown and course of ECT early July, resting and recovering is beginning to take its toll. The recovery is taking forever and the resting is unbelievably boring beyond words. However there has been a huge breakthrough in finding a happy medium from the unbelievable high's and the devastating lows. And my loss of memory is no longer as bad as that I had no clue that Pixar had created a Toy Story 3 much less remembering seeing it. So good news there.

What? When? Who? Why?
As I sit here "resting" I am composing a general knowledge quiz for an upcoming charity event.

Friday Night is Date Night, With Messy Hair!
Insomnia strikes again! Sleep is far away.....
It's been a good day, I love having my children home on mid term holiday, lots more activity, chatter, the sound of tv, good company and a few outings. I'll miss them and their noise when they go back to school on Monday.
I got a long overdue haircut, but why is it that when I'm not going anywhere after a cut it turns out fabulous and when I am going out, as I did this evening for dinner, it's a complete mess?! And although I'm looking in the mirror at the shop, see my reflection, can see it's a complete mess, but still smile as if I like it? Worst of all, I continue this ridiculous smile when I'm paying an extortionate fee for a mess of a haircut.
Dinner more than made up for it. Good to catch up with the Love of My Life, end of the week chit chat, good food and no interuptions. Friday night has turned into 'date night' and I like it. It's happened for the past few weeks of which we try somewhere new everytime and try not to stick to the same places. It's working well so far, lovely restaurants and lots of yummy food. Although Youngest daughter is getting more and more indignant every week "You are going out AGAIN?" in a very "but your parents and parents aren't meant to have social lives and enjoy" tone.
Sleep isn't coming and how envious I am hearing Love of My Life snoring his little head off. Not to worry, tomorrow is Saturday, nothing planned, chill time and possibly some blog revision and a little more investigation - I'll soon get the knack of this..... In the meantime, night-night for now

Blog Maze
Yesterday, huge eachievement and excitment, my blog was created with minimum fuss and a celebtratory tap on the back to myself.
Great, am off to a good start.
No sooner had I pressed 'post' I got tangled up in a completely different world, speak, different 'help' forum's which were of little help as I haven't mastered the blogging language.

Well, that was easier than I thought. I imagined that I'd have to sit for days working through pages and pages of computer speak before getting here. But here I am....
Really I should have started this blog weeks ago when there was a lot more happening in my life. I wish I had now. It's only through the boredom of "resting" that I took the plunge (and a bit of nagging from my husband).
Please don't expect anything earth shattering things from this. As I just said, I'm "resting", which includes my creative side :) Just thought, if that's the case, then my creative side has been resting for the past 42 years!
I'm writing this from Singapore. I'm not Singaporean, I'm Welsh, (please don't confuse with England - a very sore point for me) lived in Singapore 12 years with two daughters and one husband. Well that's not strictly true.... there was one husband before now, but that story is for another time. I'm 42, nothing special, your ordinary Joe or Joanne. I do have a few quirks and kinks in my ordinary life. Lived in Rome, second marriage, bipolar and run a charity.
Ahh, so this is it, blogging. I may be interesting to some, boring as heck to others. Do I reveal more today, or keep things back for another time? Not sure how this thing works to be honest. Haven't even followed anyone else's blog ever, so I'm totally brand new to this game. A blog virgin if you like.
I think that's enough for today. Although I've reached this far in creating the blog from all the instructions I see on the panel above I now have to edit, design and then if I like what I see, save. That will keep me going for a while.... remeber I'm a blog virgin.
Oh yeah, one other thing before I go create my page, my name is Beth.
