A Small Drop

I have  two beautiful daughters that I love with all my heart.  I would do anything to protect them.  Put my life down if I had to.

How would I feel if one were to be snatched away, just like that, no idea by who, and with no money or resources to search for them?  My heart would be broken.

Working closely with different organizations in Cambodia for the past few years, stories of young girls being snatched are sadly are far too common. Taken away to an evil world where their bodies are sold to men for pleasure.  Locked together in the worst conditions, terrified and wondering what is happening.
Even typing this makes me emotional.  I have met mothers who have no idea where their children are and if they will ever see them again. And I have by the grace of God met children who have been rescued.  Words sometimes are not enough.

Well, that was easier than I thought. I imagined that I'd have to sit for days working through pages and pages of computer speak before getting here.  But here I am....

Really I should have started this blog weeks ago when there was a lot more happening in my life.  I wish I had now.  It's only through the boredom of "resting" that I took the plunge (and a bit of nagging from my husband).

Please don't expect anything earth shattering things from this.  As I just said, I'm "resting", which includes my creative side :) Just thought, if that's the case, then my creative side has been resting for the past 42 years!

I'm writing this from Singapore.  I'm not Singaporean, I'm Welsh,  (please don't confuse with England - a very sore point for me) lived in Singapore 12 years with two daughters and one husband. Well that's not strictly true.... there was one husband before now, but that story is for another time.  I'm 42, nothing special, your ordinary Joe or Joanne.  I do have a few quirks and kinks in my ordinary life. Lived in Rome, second marriage, bipolar and run a charity.

Ahh, so this is it, blogging.  I may be interesting to some, boring as heck to others.  Do I reveal more today, or keep things back for another time?  Not sure how this thing works to be honest.  Haven't even followed anyone else's blog ever, so I'm totally brand new to this game. A blog virgin if you like.

I think that's enough for today.  Although I've reached this far in creating the blog from all the instructions  I see on the panel above I now have to edit, design and then if I like what I see, save.  That will keep me going for a while.... remeber I'm a blog virgin.

Oh yeah, one other thing before I go create my page, my name is Beth.
